Medical Wet X-ray Imaging Clear Blue Sensitive Film

Medical wet imaging clear film (MWB) is a wide latitude blue-sensitive X-ray film with high speed and high contrast. It has been designed for use in general radiology & imaging in combination with blue-emitting rare earth and calcium tungstate intensifying display screens. Consisting of photosensitive silver halide and photosensitive organic silver, a complex micro emulsion is coated on both sides of the 175μm polyester support to achieve ideal wet processing and swiftly provide sharp stable images. Because spectral sensitivity is expanded, this universal type of film with a wide tonal range is well suited for all types of diagnostic applications where high definition and maximum detail is required. Fully compatible with either automatic or manual processing, MWB Film keeps photographic quality at a consistent high level without roller marks, drying marks or other imperfections by its core grain technology, even when the film is processed in weaker chemicals or unfavorable conditions.

Darkroom Handling

◊ The use of a special red safelight filter in conjunction with a 15-watt frosted bulb is recommended.
◊ It should be utilized and be positioned at least 2.5 m from the unloading/loading area and processor tray.
◊ Processing is accomplished in a 90-seconds cycle processor. Extended cycle processing is possible when appropriate. It can be processed manually or in any conventional processor.
◊ The film should be handled with care. Creasing and buckling as well as physical pressure should be avoided.

Applications

♦ MWB film is a universal orthochromatic film with the design of the characteristic curve, so the information such as the diaphragm, retrocardiac, mediastinal, and spinal areas are displayed very well on the film.
♦ The contrast in the middle section and in the shoulder of the curve is sufficient to guarantee excellent visualization of all relevant details in applications, such as bone work and angiography.
♦ All lung-field structures are very clear presented as well. It gives excellent reproductions of soft tissue and bone structure on the same image, especially the best for the chest.
